In Silves, the ancient Moorish capital of the kingdom of Algarve is well worth visiting for the Castle, the Cathedral and the Archeological Museum, and we can take advantage of the opportunity to cross the Roman Bridge on foot.

The stop for lunch will be in Caldas de Monchique – ancient thermal facilities used by kings due to the healing qualities of the water. On arriving at Monchique, we will taste some local products such as honey, aguardente de medronho and melosa, (two alcoholic beverages known worldwide), and we will tell you how it`s made.

To end the tour, we will go up to Foia, the highest place of Algarve, standing at 2960 feet high, the only place in the Algarve that allows a staggering and privileged view over the Algarve, from Sagres to Albufeira.
